How to read a result
The description comes from the official schedule. Open its legal context to see parent headings and any inherited notes. When a rate belongs to a parent heading, its source code appears below the rate.
Units are the schedule’s reporting units, such as No., kg or doz.. A missing rate is shown as “See schedule”, not assumed to be zero.
Data source and updates
This tool uses a local copy of the US International Trade Commission’s HTS. It checks for updates monthly and keeps the previous verified version if a download fails.
